The SL700 Series is a throwback to subwoofers from the 2000s, designed to play any kind of music a system is geared toward. With a rich pedigree reaching back to the DD9000/DD4500 Series from that era, the SL700s combine rigid low mass cones, strong dual layered spiders, highly compressed EROM surrounds and a high-energy 3 inch voice coil that hits hard, low and fast. While current subwoofer trends have moved toward air movement and hair dancing, we have been asked for subs focused on music that are highly efficient in smaller, daily driver enclosures. Focusing the bandwidth from 30-300Hz allows us to optimize the excursion and output for these applications. Our recently developed shallow cast frames coupled to high energy motors allow the SL700s to fit into compact enclosures fitting for trucks, under or behind seats, motorcycle bags, off-road side by sides/marine spaces and highly detailed SQ builds in sealed boxes.
